Background
Graduated in 1997 from the civil engineering collage in Damascus. Afterwards, joined Al Furat petroleum company/ AFPC (joint venture with Shell/ Petrocanda) in the sector of trainee engineer in the project section. During such I could upgrade both English language and PC skills.
Experience
§ May 2005 up to date
Project engineer for PR&MS (pressure reduction and metering station) upgrade at Jandar, Nasria and tishreen power station. The project is basically to develop and improve the safe guarding system and DCS direct control system, it is an instrument project aim to increase the reliability and the performance of the station which provide the PEEGT by Gas to be used in their turbines for generating the electricity. As a project engineer my responsibility and duties include all matters related to HSE, quality assurance, administration and finance, and for associated tendering process. Definitely, I am the focal point for all dealings between contractor and AFPC during the project lifecycle .
q 2004- May 2005 (Senior engineer for AFPC new offices & accommodation buildings-Omar Field). Allocated as senior civil engineer and contract holder where I prepared the scope of work with other disciplines and supervised and coordinated the project execution in all phases as a project engineer and site manager. The main purpose of the project was due the increasing activities and number of personnel in the field. The office building is approximately 1560 m2 two floors and the accommodation building is 880 m2. This project involved design construction delivery materials and equipment pre-commissioning testing documentation and connecting the drain system, connecting telecom and power with the base camp network. Execution of new sewage treatment plant which is capable of handing the sewage pollution load and to produce stabilized sludge was also part of this project activities.
q 2001-2003 . AFPC NEW offices building Assigned as site manager to coordinate the responsibility and organize involved parties meetings, inspection and project progress. The project is to develop a skeleton building(18 floor-600m2 each) as a permanent office for Al Furat Petroleum Company ( AFPC) and Syrian Shell Petroleum Development (SSPD) Duration 18 month including design engineering and finishing works furniture commissioning . We adhere to modern building practices with regard to codes materials, Shell specification, safety conditions of maintenance.
q 99-2001 I was involved in the Engineering Service contract the concept is to provide all maintenance equipment requirement to field . my job was to prepare the work order for the field requirement ,and arrange the responsibility to provide the requested material on time.
q In 1998 I was assigned as a project engineer in Tishreen- Maharde power station upgrade project. Contractor A-Hack. The project consist of design and installation and commissioning The target of the project was improvement and process the incoming Gas from the field before it cross to the electrical power station like heating filtration gas pressure reduction installing a new DCS for the station. My assignments mainly included coordination between the contractor and our discipline engineers besides my supervision actions at site and tasks as main contract holder.
